Thus, instead of buying mindlessly whether in the store or online, autonomous robots for personal shopping and delivery will be programmed to buy what you can afford.

1.1.2. Optimizable

The settings of autonomous robots for personal shopping and delivery will be changeable. From the speed of the robot to its strength to its bargaining skills and other necessary communication skills, everything will be subject to optimization.

1.1.3. Super Delivery

Autonomous robots for personal shopping and delivery will have the strength, agility, and necessary accommodations to carry your groceries, shoes, shopping bags, or hot food packets.

1.1.4. On-Time, Seriously

There must have been times when your delivery arrived later than what was announced. This will not be a problem with autonomous robots for personal shopping and delivery as punctuality will be one of their main functions.

1.1.5. Bargaining Skills

Your parents might have serious competition in the future. Autonomous robots for personal shopping and delivery will be programmed to bargain against high prices and this feature can be used as an optional function by you, the user.

1.1.6. Strength and Speed

Imagine you want a quick delivery or you just noticed that you had no more coffee left. Having autonomous robots for personal shopping and delivery will ensure a quick and hassle-free solution to this problem. Just get your robot to go to the nearest store to fetch your product. Last-minute emergencies can be dealt with in this way.

1.1.7. No Additional Delivery Charges

Imagine giving away a pretty amount of money for deliveries. Sure, it looks less at the moment but considering the fact that every time you order something, you need to pay delivery charges, it all accumulates to a larger amount. Autonomous robots for personal shopping and delivery will have no such problem.

Also, transportation won’t be a problem since the robots will be doing the delivery.

1.1.8. No Over-Spending

If your robot is designed to maintain a fixed budget, there will be no overspending. Unlike you, your robot will not change its mind faster than social media trends.

1.2. Advantages – Autonomous Robots for Personal Shopping and Delivery

There are a few benefits or advantages of autonomous robots for personal shopping and delivery.

1.2.1. Relief for Introverts/Homebodies

If you are someone who is an introvert or loves to snuggle and exist in your house, autonomous robots for personal shopping and delivery will be the ideal invention for you. You do not need to wear a mask or overthink social interaction with your deliveryman or local store employees. No need to dread bargaining, let the robot do its job.

1.2.2. Save Your Time, Money, and Energy

By now it should apparently be clear that autonomous robots for personal shopping and delivery will save your time, money, energy, and perhaps, your social battery.

1.2.3. No Emotions Involved

Your autonomous robot will not be swayed by smooth-talkers in the form of sellers. It will also remember to buy what is necessary and affordable according to your bank balance. If you are someone who gets swayed and confused when presented with many options, autonomous robots for personal shopping and delivery will be perfect for you.

1.2.4. Solution for Shopaholics

A shopaholic is a person who is addicted to shopping, often shopping for goods that he or she does not need. In fact, overspending and remaining regretful afterward are common features of these intriguing creatures. If you are one, you need autonomous robots for personal shopping and delivery. Not want but need

1.2.5. Navigate Through Storms and Floods

Your milkman or local stores might not be able to function on days of terrible storms and floods. However, this will not be a challenge for your robot as tenacity and agility will be its key features. Also, your goods will be protected with water-resistant technology enabled by the robot.

1.2.6. Bad with Directions? No Worries

Either you know someone who is bad with directions or you are that someone. Nevertheless, even if these people get lost with GPS, autonomous robots for personal shopping and delivery will have no such problem.

1.3. Disadvantages – Autonomous Robots for Personal Shopping and Delivery

Every invention has its own pros and cons. You must weigh them and see what works for you and what does not.

1.3.1. Expensive Initial Cost

The production cost will be expensive for the robots, especially when it is launched in the market. Moreover, maintenance costs over time can accumulate. However, the overall features and advantages of autonomous robots for personal shopping and delivery will be worth the initial cost.

But only people with an above-average income will be able to purchase them at first. Once this technology is made popular, the general public will raise demand production will increase, and the robots will be more affordable.

1.3.2. Easy is not Always Good

Online shopping has reduced the experience of shopping with friends, family, and lovers to a single click or a few swipes. A human shopping for a silk shirt will choose it based on feelings of comfort, softness, and overall aesthetics.

However, a robot can never “feel” the texture of clothes or smell the fresh leather like you do when you go to your favourite shops.

1.3.3. Unemployment

Many college and university students fund their higher studies’ tuition fees through delivery work. Many people support their families via delivery and transportation. They will lose their jobs. Moreover, sellers will lose their credibility and will be overpowered by programmed robots, which will be immune to their influence.

1.3.4. Humans are Unpredictable

A person’s style, income, and preference change over time. Moreover, experimenting with new attires and changing the choice of a beverage or food is common human behaviour. The robots will have to stay constantly updated according to the unpredictability of humans.

Lastly, people who pay with EMI and loans will have to directly go to the seller to negotiate and come to a mutual agreement. This can not be performed between a robot and a human as it will create confusion and will be time-consuming.

2. The Future is Almost Here

  1. Did you know that a company called Starship has already launched delivery robots and has made over 5 million autonomous deliveries? The 6-wheeled robots can deliver up to 9kgs of goods. A human operator will be able to take control in case of mechanical problems. The company ensures that a mobile app helps customers to track their packages.
  2. Nuro is another autonomous delivery technology, which has partnered up with Domino’s for pizza deliveries, Walmart for groceries, and so on. With a 360-degree camera and ultrasonic sensors. Even FedEx in Houston has begun testing with this company.
  3. Udelv’s autonomous delivery vehicles, known as “Transporters” (a cool name for a cool technology indeed) can carry over 800 pounds of load. The company is available for retailers and shippers. With mobile communication, autonomous delivery network, and fleet management, these “Transporters” are equipped better than you in exams.
  4. Kiwibot has made over 1,50,000 food deliveries for the Univerity of California, Stanford University in Palo Alto, and San Jose. Also, the robot is adorable and looks smaller than its capabilities. Take a look at the cutie here.
  5. Amazon Scout, which are robots the size of small coolers form an autonomous electric system to deliver packages to customers. This system is accessible in Washington, Georgia, Tennessee, Atlanta, and Franklin.

Listed above are just a few of the many robots and vehicles that carry out numerous autonomous deliveries. Perhaps, soon they will be available and more common in other parts of the world. So, the future is actually not too far

3. Final Words

Considering the fact that autonomous robots for delivery are already a reality, it will be no surprise when an advanced and fully-equipped version of autonomous robots for personal shopping and delivery gets launched in markets.

No longer do you have to sneakily order pizza or stealthily escape your house to buy snacks. Your robot will receive them for you along with your mom’s lecture (maybe?).

If you are a student, you can finish your school or university work while in your institute. Just order the materials and food. Your autonomous robot will do the job. If you have horrible fashion taste, just let your classy and elegant robot choose and shop for you, in the future(hopefully).

Save yourself and your friends from bad fashion tastes and unnecessary goods, which will remain unused.
