Greek mythology never fails to fascinate new people. There are many gods and goddesses who belongs to this auspicious religion. Many of them are adults, but few of them are minors as well.

Not so much about this minor Greek goddess is known to us. But she’s worshipped in the city of rhodes which is an ancient Greek city.

As you must know, most of the planet is covered with water. It’s not very shocking to hear that many Greek gods and goddesses reside under that as well. Delphin is indeed one of them.

Delphin, as the name itself suggests, is the minor Greek deity of dolphins.

5. Selene

Selene as the name suggests is the minor Greek goddess of moon.

She’s the daughter of famous Greek gods and goddess namely, Hyperion and theia. It is also commonly said that she is the daughter of sun and dawn both.

Apart from that, she also became a mother to pandia! Pandia’s parents are Zeus and Selena.

The way she felt in love is Endymion is also a reason for her being so famous. Her love was totally pure and beautiful. Also, Endymion was so good looking that they bore more than forty five daughters together.

A choice was also given to Endymion by Zeus. That was either he can be forever young or he can be immortal for life. He chose to be forever young.

6. Eos

Eos: The Goddess of Dawn (Greek Mythology Explained)

Identified by Romans as ‘Aurora’, Eos is the goddess of dawn. She is the daughter of Hyperion and Theia.

Knowing more about her family, she is also the sister of Selene and Helius.

Eos was in love with the king who was immortal. His name was Tithonus, and Tithonus was the son of the Trojan king.

Eos showing her supreme love towards Tithonus asked the great Zeus to make him immortal. Zeus did so as well. But the problem in this was that Eos forgot to ask for eternal youth for him and therefore later, Tithonus turned into a old and shrivelled kind of man.

After all this happened, Eos turned him into a Cicada.

Apart from him, there were quite a few other lovers of Eos as well.

Cacus was a three-headed Greek deity. It is also widely believed that be used to live in a cave and had done a lot of robberies throughout.

It is known that Cacus is the son of Vulcan.

8. Adonis

Adonis is a prominent figure in the Greek mythology. He is a lover god.

He’s said to be fallen into love with two goddesses namely, Aphrodite and Persephone.

Throughout the Greek mythology, he is said to be one of the most smartest and handsome one. Adonia festival is associated and celebrated with his name. There’s a story associated with this festival which is related to a wild bear who died in his hands while he was out for hunting.

9. Aether

Aether was the Greek god of thunder or lightning/light. His name could either be spelled as aether or either.

Apart from the light, he was also the god of the whole sky.

There’s a goddess named Hemera. She is the sister and wife of Aether. According to earliest traditions, the Sun and moon were very different from day and night.

It could be also said that the ones who were the gods of day were treated and worshipped differently from that of night ones.

Sun, moon, stars, clouds, and every other possible thing that’s visible to you in the sky is particularly taken care of by the great Greek deity Aether.

Coming to the parents of Aether, this Greek deity has different myths associated to that.

10. Nike

The great and powerful goddess of victory is Nike. As we call her Nike, the Romans call her Victoria.

She looks very beautiful, fit, powerful and also has wings at her back that makes her even more amazing and gorgeous.

It is said that she is the daughter of Pallas. Pallas was the Titan god of Warcraft. There’s another story related to this as well. In that particular story, it’s said that she’s the daughter of Ares who’s the son of Zeus.
